Proof that all things great and small respond to Operant Conditioning
If you follow our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MuttsAndMustangs), you already know that I recently acquired a hedgehog that I’m calling Snow (yes, like the Once Upon a Time Character. Judge me.). She’s really young and still a little moody since she’s quilling. For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about, it’s like she’s losing baby teeth, but baby quills from all over her back. No fun!
I’ve had her three weeks, and I’ve already had to cut her nails twice. They’re like teeny tiny, fast growing hedgie talons, and she’s not a fan of having them trimmed. The first time I cut them, I did a horrible job because I let my father hold her, and she decided to quill him to death and huff and puff and wiggle, which makes cutting teeny tiny talons nearly impossible.
